my father passed away this week.

that's why i haven't written in a while.
it's still really hard to face everything right now, but i wanted to write a quick homage to my father to start facing it all...

Dad, when i dance, i dance for you. When i dine on BBQ ribs or cook up some Wienerschnitzel, i'll smile because i can't cook it aswell as you. And when i feel sad and know you're lookin down on me and want me to be happy, i'll throw on some James Brown or Sly & The Family Stone and i'll remember you. You'll be my daddy forever and i'll be your lizzy bo bizzy til the end. I love you. I miss you. Forever.

  2. Hi Elizabeth, I don't actually know you - I found your blog a long time ago through Martha's and Graham's (I know them through Vintage21 church). I just wanted you to know that I'm praying for your grief and I know it can be hard to lose someone you're so close to. I pray God brings you the support of people who will speak truthful, loving words to you. I pray you will be listened to thoughtfully and compassionately, and I pray you will be comforted tenderly with as many hugs as you need. You've got God, girl, you're gonna be all right. He'll get you through especially these dark days. Much love to you.

  3. whitney,
thank you so much for your kind words. they mean so much to me. last night and this morning were really hard. after 3 weeks back home in NC, i'm now back in LA as of 2 days ago and it's been really really tough. i'm beginning to see what i'm really made of without the constant support of my family here.
so thank you for your words and please keep praying for me and my siblings. you're awesome.
    love back to you.
